SYSLOG Commands
logging on
Use the logging on Global Configuration mode command to enable message
logging. This command sends debug or error messages asynchronously to
designated locations. Use the no form of this command to disable the
logging.

logging on
no logging on

Message logging is enabled.

User Guidelines
The logging process controls the logging messages distribution at various
destinations, such as the logging buffer, logging file or SYSLOG server.
Logging on and off at these destinations can be individually configured using
the logging buffered, logging file, and logging on Global Configuration mode
commands. However, if the logging on command is disabled, no messages are
sent to these destinations. Only the console receives messages.

The following example enables logging error messages.
