5 Validate the configuration
This section covers methods to verify the SmartFabric and ACI environment is configured properly. The
screens shown in this chapter depict the MX9116n FSE configuration. Steps for validating the MX5108n will
be similar.
5.1 MX Validation using OME-M console
This section covers the methods used to verify the SmartFabric and ACI environment is configured properly.
5.1.1 Show the MCM group topology
OME-M console can be used to show the physical cabling of the SmartFabric, perform the following steps:
1. Open the OME-M console and click Home.
2. In the Chassis group pane, click View Topology.
3. Click the lead chassis image and then click Show Cabling.
4. Click the icons to view cable connections as shown in Figure 45.
SmartFabric cabling
