Compared to the previous generation of Dell PowerEdge blade servers, the M820 has more
memory, processor cores, and networking options than ever before. Features include DDR3
memory, PCI Express 3.0, a network daughter card (NDC), dual internal SD module, and Dell’s
next-generation iDRAC solution known as iDRAC7 Enterprise with Lifecycle Controller.
The PowerEdge M820 is a replacement for the M910 system. Table 2 compares the features of both
