Example
The following example displays setting up the system contact point as
"Dell_Technical_Support".
console(config)# snmp-server contact Dell_Technical_Support
snmp-server enable traps
Use the
snmp-server enable traps
command in Global Configuration mode to enable the switch to
send SNMP traps. To disable SNMP traps use the
no
form of the command.
Syntax
snmp-server enable traps
no snmp-server enable traps
Default Configuration
Traps are enabled by default.
Command Mode
Global Configuration mode
User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example displays the command to enable SNMP traps.
console(config)# snmp-server enable traps
snmp-server engineID local
Use the
snmpserver engineID local
command in Global Configuration mode to specify the Simple
Network Management Protocol (SNMP) engine ID on the local device.
To remove the configured engine ID, use the
no
form of this command.
