Command History
Version Description
9.4(0.0) Supported on the FN I/O Aggregator.
9.2(0.0) Introduced on the M I/O Aggregator.
8.3.16.1 Introduced on the MXL 10/40GbE Switch IO Module.
Usage Information
Port Channel interfaces are logical interfaces and can be either in Layer 2 mode (by using the switchport
command) or Layer 3 mode (by conguring an IP address). You can add a Port Channel in Layer 2 mode to a
VLAN.
A Port Channel can contain both 100/1000 interfaces and GE interfaces. Based on the rst interface
congured in the Port Channel and enabled, the Dell Networking OS determines if the Port Channel uses
100 Mb/s or 1000 Mb/s as the common speed. For more information, refer to channel-member.
If the line card is in a Jumbo mode chassis, you can also congure the mtu and ip mtu commands. The
Link MTU and IP MTU values congured on the channel members must be greater than the Link MTU and
IP MTU values congured on the Port Channel interface.
