Storm Control
The storm control feature allows you to control unknown-unicast, muticast, and broadcast control trac on Layer 2 and Layer 3 physical
interfaces.
Dell Networking OS Behavior: The Dell Networking OS supports broadcast control (the storm-control broadcast command) for
Layer 2 and Layer 3 trac. The minimum number of packets per second (PPS) that storm control can limit is two.
To view the storm control broadcast conguration show storm-control broadcast | multicast | unknown-unicast |
pfc-llfc [interface] command.
EXEC Privilege
To view the storm control multicast conguration, use the show storm-control multicast [interface] command.
EXEC Privilege
Example:
Dell#show storm-control multicast Tengigabitethernet 1/1
Multicast storm control configuration
Interface Direction Packets/Second

To display the storm control unknown-unicast conguration, use the show storm-control unknown-unicast [interface]
command.
EXEC Privilege
Congure Storm Control
Storm control is supported in INTERFACE mode and CONFIGURATION mode.
Conguring Storm Control from CONFIGURATION Mode
To congure storm control from CONFIGURATION mode, use the following command.
You can congure storm control for ingress trac in CONFIGURATION mode. Do not apply per-virtual local area network (per-VLAN)
quality of service (QoS) on an interface that you have enabled storm-control (either on an interface or globally).
