Viewing Interface Information
To view interface status and auto-congured parameters use show commands.
The show interfaces command in EXEC mode lists all congurable interfaces on the chassis and has options to display the interface
status, IP and MAC addresses, and multiple counters for the amount and type of trac passing through the interface. If you congure a
port channel interface, the
show interfaces command lists the interfaces congured in the port channel.
NOTE: To end output from the system, such as the output from the show interfaces command, enter CTRL+C and the Dell
Networking Operating System (OS) returns to the command prompt.
NOTE: The CLI output may be incorrectly displayed as 0 (zero) for the Rx/Tx power values. Perform an simple network
management protocol (SNMP) query to obtain the correct power information.
The following example shows the conguration and status information for one interface.
Dell#show interface tengig 1/16

To view only congured interfaces use the show interfaces congured command in EXEC Privilege mode.
To determine which physical interfaces are available, use the show running-config command in EXEC mode. This command displays
all physical interfaces available on the switch, which is as shown in the following example.
Dell#show running config
