MAC Addressing Commands
The following commands are related to configuring, managing, and viewing MAC addresses.
mac-address-table aging-time
Specify an aging time for MAC addresses to remove from the MAC address table.
Syntax
mac-address-table aging-time seconds
To delete the configured aging time, use the no mac-address-table aging-
time seconds command.
Parameters
seconds Enter either zero (0) or a number as the number of seconds
before MAC addresses are relearned. To disable aging of the
MAC address table, enter 0. The range is from 10 to
1000000. The default is 1800 seconds.

mac-address-table static
Associate specific MAC or hardware addresses to an interface and virtual local area networks (VLANs).
Syntax
mac-address-table static mac-address output interface vlan
vlan-id
To remove a MAC address, use the no mac-address-table static mac-
address output interface vlan vlan-id command.
Parameters
mac-address Enter the 48-bit hexadecimal address in nn:nn:nn:nn:nn:nn
format.

interface
Enter the keyword output then one of the following
interfaces for which traffic is forwarded:
For a Port Channel interface, enter the keywords port-
channel
then a number. The range is from 1 to 128.
For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
TenGigabitEthernet then the slot/port information.
For a 40-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
fortyGigE then the slot/port information.
