logging hostname— enables the logging to another device.
show logging
Displays the logging settings and system messages logged to the internal buffer of the switch.
Syntax
show logging [number | history [reverse][number] | reverse
[number] | summary | | driverlog[stack-unit number] | kernellog
[stack-unit number]]
Parameters
number (OPTIONAL) Enter the number of messages displayed in the
output. The range is from 1 to 65535.
history (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword history to view only
information in the Syslog history table.
reverse (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword reverse to view the Syslog
messages in FIFO (first in, first out) order.
summary (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword summary to view a table
showing the number of messages per type and per slot.
driverlog (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyworddriverlog to view the
driverlog information per stack-unit.
Enter the keyword stack-unit followed by the stack member
ID of the switch for which you want to display the driver log.
The range is from 0 to 1.
kernellog (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword kernellogto view the
kernellog information per stack-unit.
Enter the keyword stack-unit followed by the stack member
ID of the switch for which you want to display the driver log.
The range is from 0 to 1.
