offline stack-unit
show diag
show hardware stack-unit
show hardware system-flow
Offline Diagnostic Commands
The offline diagnostics test suite is useful for isolating faults and debugging hardware. While tests are running, the Dell
Networking OS results are saved as a text file (TestReport-SU-X.txt) in the flash directory. The show file command is
available only on Master and Standby.
Important Points to Remember
Offline diagnostics can only be run when the unit is offline.
Offline diagnostics cannot be run in Stacking mode.
You can only run offline diagnostics on a unit to which you are connected via the console. In other words, you cannot run
diagnostics on a unit to which you are connected via a stacking link.
Diagnostic results are stored in a file (TestReport-SU-X.txt) in the flash directory. To review the results, use the show
file command, which prints the results to the screen.
Diagnostics only test connectivity, not the entire data path.
The offline diagnostics commands are:
diag stack-unit
offline stack-unit
show diag
Hardware Commands
These commands display information from a hardware sub-component or ASIC.
The hardware commands are:
clear hardware stack-unit
show diag
show hardware stack-unit
show hardware system-flow
