Data Center Bridging
Overview
Data center bridging (DCB) refers to a set of IEEE Ethernet enhancements that provide data centers
with a single, robust, converged network to support multiple traffic types, including local area network
(LAN), server, and storage traffic. DCB features are auto-configured in standalone mode and supported
in stacking mode.
The Dell Networking operating system (FTOS) commands for DCB features include 802.1Qbb
priority-based flow control (PFC), 802.1Qaz enhanced transmission selection (ETS), and the data
center bridging exchange (DCBx) protocol.
Command Line Interface (CLI) commands for individual DCB features are as follows:
DCB Command
dcb enable auto-detect on-next-reload
dcb-input
dcb-policy input
dcb-policy input stack-unit stack-ports all
PFC Commands
clear pfc counters
show interface pfc
show interface pfc statistics
show stack-unit stack-ports pfc details
pfc no-drop queues
ETS Commands
clear ets counters
show interface ets
show stack-unit stack-ports ets details
qos-policy-output ets
