Introduced on the M I/O Aggregator.
Usage Information M I/O Aggregator supports up to 16 SNMP trap receivers.
If this command is not congured, no traps controlled by this command are sent. If you do not specify a
notication-type and notication-option, all traps are enabled.
Related Commands snmp-server community- congures a new community string access for SNMP v3.
snmp-server engineID
Congure the name for both the local and remote SNMP engines on the router.
Syntax
snmp-server engineID [local engineID] [remote ip-address
To return to the default, use the no snmp-server engineID [local engineID] [remote ip-
address command.
Parameters
local engineID
Enter the keyword local followed by the engine ID number that identies the
copy of the SNMP on the local device.
Format (as specied in RFC 3411): 12 octets.
• The rst four octets are set to the private enterprise number.
• The remaining eight octets are the MAC address of the chassis.
remote ip-address Enter the keyword remote followed by the IP address that identies the copy of
the SNMP on the remote device.
Defaults As above.
