Introduced on the M I/O Aggregator.
Usage Information M I/O Aggregator supports up to 16 SNMP trap receivers.
If this command is not congured, no traps controlled by this command are sent. If you do not specify a
notication-type and notication-option, all traps are enabled.
Related Commands snmp-server community- congures a new community string access for SNMP v3.
snmp-server engineID
Congure the name for both the local and remote SNMP engines on the router.
Syntax
snmp-server engineID [local engineID] [remote ip-address
To return to the default, use the no snmp-server engineID [local engineID] [remote ip-
address command.
Parameters
local engineID
Enter the keyword local followed by the engine ID number that identies the
copy of the SNMP on the local device.
Format (as specied in RFC 3411): 12 octets.
• The rst four octets are set to the private enterprise number.
• The remaining eight octets are the MAC address of the chassis.
remote ip-address Enter the keyword remote followed by the IP address that identies the copy of
the SNMP on the remote device.
Defaults As above.
