Conguring LLDPDU Intervals
LLDPDUs are transmitted periodically; the default interval is 30 seconds.
To congure LLDPDU intervals, use the following command.
Congure a non-default transmit interval.
CONFIGURATION mode or INTERFACE mode
hello
Example of Viewing LLDPDU Intervals
Dell#conf
Dell(conf)#protocol lldp
Dell(conf-lldp)#show config
!
protocol lldp
Dell(conf-lldp)#hello ?
<5-180> Hello interval in seconds (default=30)

Conguring a Time to Live
The information received from a neighbor expires after a specic amount of time (measured in seconds) called a time to live (TTL).
The TTL is the product of the LLDPDU transmit interval (hello) and an integer called a multiplier. The default multiplier is 4, which
results in a default TTL of 120 seconds.
Adjust the TTL value.
CONFIGURATION mode or INTERFACE mode.
multiplier
Return to the default multiplier value.
