Replacing and conguring hardware for NVMe
PCIe SSD adapter

for handling electrostatic discharge sensitive devices. All actions must be performed following the latest revisions of the IPC-
A-610 ESD recommended practices.

The NVMe PCIe SSD adapter is directly connected to the system board.

Removing NVMe PCIe SSD adapter from system
CAUTION

1 Turn o the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and peripherals.
NOTE
: Dell recommends that you always use a static mat and static strap while working on components in the interior
of the system.
2 Open the system.
3 Locate the adapter on the system board.
CAUTION
: To prevent damage to the adapter, hold the adapter by its edges only.
4 Lift the adapter to remove it from the system board.
5 Close the system.
6 Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and peripherals, and turn on the system.
