Status
— The connection status between the device and the TACACS+ server. The possible field
values are:
–
Connected
— There is currently a connection between the device and the TACACS+ server.
–
Not Connected
— There is not currently a connection between the device and the TACACS+ server.
•
Single Connection
— Maintains a single open connection between the device and the TACACS+
server when selected
The TACACS+ default parameters are user-defined defaults. The default settings are applied to newly
defined TACACS+ servers. If default values are not defined, the system defaults are applied to the new
TACACS+ new servers. The following are the TACACS+ defaults:

Source IP Address
— The default device source IP address used for the TACACS+ session between
the device and the TACACS+ server.
•
Key String (0-128 Characters)
— The default authentication and encryption key for TACACS+
communication between the device and the TACACS+ server.
•
Timeout for Reply (1-30)
— The default time that passes before the connection between the device
and the TACACS+ times out.
Adding a TACACS+ Server

TACACS+ Settings
page.

Add.

The TACACS+ server is added, and the device is updated.
