User Guidelines
• All the syslog messages are logged to the internal buffer. This command limits the messages
displayed to the user.
Example
The following example limits syslog messages displayed from an internal buffer based on severity
level debugging.
logging buffered size
The logging buffered size Global Configuration mode command changes the number of syslog
messages stored in the internal buffer. Use the no form of this command to return to the default
configuration.
Syntax
• logging buffered size number
• no logging buffered size
• number — Specifies the maximum number of messages stored in the history table. (Range:
20 - 400)
Default Configuration
The default number of messages is 200.
Command Mode
Global Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
This command takes effect only after Reset.
Example
The following example changes the number of syslog messages stored in the internal buffer to 300.
Console(config)# logging buffered debugging
Console(config)# logging buffered size 300
