Syntax
• speed bps
• bps — Baud rate in bits per second (bps). Possible values are 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200,
38400, 57600 and 115200.
Default Configuration
The default speed is 9600 bps.
Command Mode
Line Configuration (console) mode.
User Guidelines
• This command is available only on the line console.
• The configured speed is applied when Autobaud is disabled. This configuration applies only to
the current session.
Examples
The following example configures the line baud rate to 115200.
autobaud
The autobaud Line Configuration mode command sets the line for automatic baud rate detection
(autobaud). To disable automatic baud rate detection, use the no form of the command.
Syntax
• autobaud
• no autobaud
Default Configuration
Autobaud is disabled.
Command Mode
Line Configuration (console) mode.
Console(config)# line console
Console(config-line)# speed 115200
