sntp authentication-key
The sntp authentication-key Global Configuration mode command defines an authentication key
for Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP). Use the no form of this command to remove the
authentication key for SNTP.
Syntax
sntp authentication-key

Key number (Range: 1 - 4294967295)

Key value (Range: up to 8 characters)
Default Configuration
No authentication key is defined.

Global Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
Multiple keys can be generated.

The following example defines the authentication key for SNTP.
sntp authenticate
The sntp authenticate Global Configuration mode command allows authentication for received
Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) traffic from servers. Use the no form of this command to
disable the feature.
Syntax
sntp authenticate
no sntp authenticate
Default Configuration
No authentication
