Example
The following example enables automatic learning of multicast router ports on VLAN 2.
ip igmp snooping host-time-out
The ip igmp snooping host-time-out Interface Configuration (VLAN) mode command
configures the host-time-out. If an IGMP report for a multicast group was not received for a
host-time-out period from a specific port, this port is deleted from the member list of that
multicast group. To return to the default configuration, use the no form of this command.

ip igmp snooping host-time-out

— Host timeout in seconds. (Range: 1 - 2147483647)
Default Configuration
The default host-time-out is 260 seconds.

User Guidelines
The timeout should be at least greater than 2*query_interval+max_response_time of the
IGMP router.
Example
The following example configures the host timeout to 300 seconds.
ip igmp snooping mrouter-time-out
The ip igmp snooping mrouter-time-out Interface Configuration (VLAN) mode command
configures the mrouter-time-out. The ip igmp snooping mrouter-time-out Interface
Configuration (VLAN) mode command is used for setting the aging-out time after multicast
router ports are automatically learned. To return to the default configuration, use the no form of
this command.
