IPv4 and IPv6 route-refresh updates are sent. Following is an example configuration in which IPv6 prefixes is enabled for a IPv6
neighbor and the corresponding route-refresh message:
DellEMC(conf-router_bgp)# show config

Controlling route-refresh updates
You can control route-refresh updates for IPv4 and IPv6 prefixes.
Following is the list of commands to control the route-refresh updates for IPv4 and IPv6 prefixes:
Table 11. Command for respective route-refresh updates
Command Route-refresh Updates
clear ip bgp neighbor-ipv4-address ipv4 unicast soft in
Only IPv4 route-refresh updates using
IPv4 neighbor
clear ip bgp neighbor-ipv6-address ipv6 unicast soft in
Only IPv6 route-refresh updates using

clear ip bgp neighbor-ipv4-address ipv6 unicast soft in
Only IPv6 route-refresh updates using

clear ip bgp neighbor-ipv6-address ipv4 unicast soft in

Aggregating Routes
Dell EMC Networking OS provides multiple ways to aggregate routes in the BGP routing table. At least one specific route of the
aggregate must be in the routing table for the configured aggregate to become active.
To aggregate routes, use the following command.
AS_SET includes AS_PATH and community information from the routes included in the aggregated route.
Assign the IP address and mask of the prefix to be aggregated.
CONFIG-ROUTER-BGP mode
aggregate-address ip-address mask [advertise-map map-name] [as-set] [attribute-map map-
name] [summary-only] [suppress-map map-name]
