Stacking
All commands in this chapter are specific to the Dell EMC Networking OS.
You can use the commands to pre-configure a switch, so that the configuration settings are invoked when the switch is
attached to other S-Series units.
For information about using the S-Series stacking feature, see the Stacking S-Series Switches section in the Dell EMC
Networking OS Configuration Guide.
CAUTION: You cannot enable stacking simultaneously with virtual link trunking (VLT). If you enable both at the
same time, unexpected behavior occurs.
The Dell EMC Networking OS commands for data center bridging features include 802.1Qbb priority-based flow control (PFC),
802.1Qaz enhanced transmission selection (ETS), and the data center bridging exchange (DCBX) protocol.

mixed-mode-stacking
Enables the mixed-mode stacking feature on the S4048T-ON and the S4048–ON. This feature allows a S4048-ON to join a
S4048T-ON stack. Similarly, this feature also allows a S4048T–ON to join a S4048–ON stack.

Syntax
mixed-mode-stacking enable
To remove the current stack group configuration, use the no mixed-mode-stacking enable
command.
Parameters
enable Enter the keyword enable to enable mixed-mode stacking on the switch.
