User can configure up to nine arguments to the aliases1 to 9. Repetition of arguments are allowed
and the system does not allow discontinuous arguments.
Example The following example shows how to configure single-line alias-name:
DellEMC#configure terminal
DellEMC(conf)# alias-definition
DellEMC(conf-alias-definition)# alias showipbr10 show ip interface brief
The following example shows how to configure aliases with arguments in EXEC mode:
DellEMC#configure terminal
DellEMC(conf)# alias-definition
DellEMC(conf-alias-definition)# alias procpu show processes cpu
management-unit | grep $1
DellEMC(conf-alias-definition)# alias intbr show ip interface brief |
grep $1"

The following example shows how to configure aliases without arguments in EXEC mode:

Configure a message that is displayed when your enter EXEC mode.
Syntax
banner exec c line c
To delete a banner, use the no banner exec command.
Parameters
c
Enter the keywords banner exec, then enter a character delineator, represented
here by the letter c. Press ENTER.
line
Enter a text string for your banner message ending the message with your
delineator. In the following example, the delineator is a percent character (%); the
banner message is testing, testing.
Defaults No banner is displayed.
