Assign a descriptive text string to the interface.

To delete a description, use the no description command.

Information
Important Points to Remember:
To use special characters as a part of the description string, you must enclose the whole string in
double quotes.
Spaces between characters are not preserved after entering this command unless you enclose the
entire description in quotation marks (desc_text).
Entering a text string after the description command overwrites any previous text string that you
previously configured as the description.
