logging trap limit messages logged to the Syslog servers based on severity.
logging
Configure an IP address or host name of a Syslog server where logging messages are sent. You can configure multiple logging
servers of both IPv4 and/or IPv6.
Syntax
logging {ip-address | ipv6address |hostname} {{udp {port}} | {tcp {port}}
To disable logging, use the no logging command.
Parameters
ip-address
Enter the IPv4 address in dotted decimal format.
ipv6-address
Enter the IPv6 address in the x:x:x:x::X format.
NOTE: The :: notation specifies successive hexadecimal fields of zeros.
hostname
Enter the name of a host already configured and recognized by the switch.
udp Enter the keyword udp to enable transmission of log message over UDP followed
by port number. The default port is 514
tcp Enter the keyword tcp to enable transmission of log message over TCP followed
by port number.
Defaults Disabled.
