Entering a text string after the description command overwrites any previous text string that you
previously configured as the description.
The shutdown and description commands are the only commands that you can configure on an
interface that is a member of a port-channel.
Use the show interfaces description command to display descriptions configured for each
interface.
duplex (Management)
Set the mode of the Management interface.
Syntax
duplex {half | full}
To return to the default setting, use the no duplex command.
Parameters
half Enter the keyword half to set the Management interface to transmit only in one
direction.
full Enter the keyword full to set the Management interface to transmit in both
directions.
Defaults Not configured.

Information
This command applies only to the Management interface on the route processor modules (RPMs).

Standby RPM).

management route configures a static route that points to the Management interface or a forwarding
router.
