System Time and Date
The commands in this section configure time values on the system, either using the Dell EMC Networking OS, or the hardware,
or using the network time protocol (NTP). With NTP, the switch can act only as a client to an NTP clock host.

The commands in this chapter are generally supported on Dell EMC Networking OS with some exceptions, as notes in the
Command History fields.

Set the software clock in the switch.
Syntax
clock set time month day year
Parameters
time
Enter the time in hours:minutes:seconds. For the hour variable, use the 24-hour
format; example, 17:15:00 is 5:15 pm.
month
Enter the name of one of the 12 months, in English. You can enter the number of a
day and change the order of the display to time day month year.
day
Enter the number of the day. The range is from 1 to 31. You can enter the name of
a month to change the order of the display to time month day year.
year
Enter a four-digit number as the year. The range is from 1993 to 2035.
