Far-End Failure Detection (FEFD)
The Dell Networking operating software supports far-end failure detection (FEFD) on the Ethernet interfaces of the Z9000
platform.
The FEFD feature detects and reports far-end link failures.
FEFD is not supported on the Management interface.
During an RPM failover, FEFD is operationally disabled for approximately 8 to 10 seconds.
