neighbor next-hop-self
Allows you to configure the router as the next hop for a BGP neighbor. (This command is used for IBGP).
Z-Series
Syntax
neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} next-hop-self
To return to the default setting, use the no neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name}
next-hop-self command.
Parameters
ipv6-address
Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted decimal format.
peer-group-name
(OPTIONAL) Enter the name of the peer group.
Defaults Disabled.

Usage
Information
If you configure the set next-hop command in ROUTE-MAP mode, its configuration takes precedence
over the neighbor next-hop-self (C-, E-, and S-Series) command.
neighbor password
Enable message digest 5 (MD5) authentication on the TCP connection between two neighbors.
Z-Series
Syntax
neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} password [encryption-type] password
To delete a password, use the no neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} password
command.
Parameters
ip-address
Enter the IP address of the router to be included in the peer group.
peer-group-name
Enter the name of a configured peer group.
encryption-type
(OPTIONAL) Enter 7 as the encryption type for the password entered. 7 means
that the password is encrypted and hidden.
password
Enter a text string up to 80 characters long. The first character of the password
must be a letter.
You cannot use spaces in the password.
Defaults Not configured.
