Version Description
7.4.1.0 Introduced support for telnetting to the VRRP group IP address assigned using this
command.
6.2.1.1 Introduced on the E-Series.
Usage
Information
The VRRP group only becomes active and sends VRRP packets when a virtual IP address is configured.
When you delete the virtual address, the VRRP group stops sending VRRP packets.
A system message appears after you enter or delete the virtual-address command.
To guarantee that a VRRP group becomes MASTER, configure the VRRP groups virtual address with the
same IP address as the interfaces primary IP address and change the priority of the VRRP group to 255.
You can ping the virtual addresses configured in all VRRP groups.

Syntax
vrrp delay minimum seconds
Parameters

Usage
Information
This command applies to a single interface. When used with the vrrp delay reload CLI, the later
timer rules the VRRP enabling. For example, if vrrp delay reload is 600 and the vrrp delay
minimum is 300:
When the system reloads, VRRP waits 600 seconds (10 minutes) to bring up VRRP on all interfaces
that are up and configured for VRRP.
When an interface comes up, whether as part of a system reload or an interface reload, the system
waits 300 seconds (5 minutes) to bring up VRRP on that interface.
