Verifying Cluster Hardware and
Software Configurations
This section provides setup information for hardware and software cluster
configurations.
Before setting up the cluster, ensure that you have the minimum hardware
installed as shown in Table 4-1.
Each node must have the following installed:
•
Dell Systems Management Tools and Documentation
DVD.
•
Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Standard/Enterprise x64 Edition
(see Table 2-1).
•
Dell|Oracle Windows Resource
CD.
•
PowerVault MD3000/MD32xx Resource
CD or
PowerVault
MD3000i/MD32xxi/MD36xxi Resource
CD (when using Dell PowerVault
as back-end storage).
The storage must be configured with a minimum of five volumes or virtual
disks (three for the redundant Voting Disk and Oracle Cluster Registry and
two for the Database and Flash Recovery Area) assigned to cluster nodes.
