Configuring Database Storage on the Host 53
Preparing the OCR and Voting Disk for
Clusterware, Database Disk and Flash Recovery
Area for Database Storage With ASM on
Windows 2008 R2 SP1
The procedure to create extended partitions and logical drives is as follows:
1
Click Start  Run and type cmd and press <Enter > to open a command
prompt window.
2 Ty pe diskpart in the command prompt to open the diskpart interface.
3 Ty pe list disk and the following table is displayed:
4 Enter select disk [disk #] of the target disk.
NOTE: The following steps explain how to create partitions and logical disks
for MBR disk.
5 Ty pe create partition extended and press <Enter > .
6 Type c reate partition logical size=<size of volume
in megabytes>
and press <Enter > .
7 Repeat step 4 through step 6 on all the disks identified for Clusterware
(OCR and Voting Disks) and on all the disks identified for Database
Storage (Database disk and Flash Recovery Area).
