Installing Oracle

RAC 11g R1 Using

Oracle Cluster File System (OCFS)

NOTE: If you are installing Oracle using ASM, ignore the following steps and follow

the procedures in "Installing Oracle

RAC 11g R1 Using Automatic Storage

Management (ASM)" on page 23

This section provides information about installing the Oracle RAC 11g R1

Installing Oracle Clusterware

On node 1, insert the Oracle Clusterware installation media that you chose

in Table 2-1, into the CD/DVD drive.

The Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) starts and the

window is

displayed.

If the

Welcome

window is not displayed:

Click

Start

and select

Run

In the

Run

field, type the following and click

%CD-ROM drive%:\crs\setup.exe

where

%CD-ROM drive%

is the drive letter of your CD/DVD drive.
