To configure the ASM disks:

Log in as
root
.

Open a terminal window and log in as
root
.

Copy the
/dell-oracle-deployment/scripts/permissions.ini
file from one of
the existing nodes to the same location on the new node.

Enter the following command to set the proper permissions for block devices:
/etc/rc.local

Open a terminal window and perform the following steps on the new node:

Ty p e
service oracleasm configure

Type the following inputs for all the nodes:
Default user to own the driver interface [ ]:
oracle
Default group to own the driver interface [ ]:
dba
Start Oracle ASM library driver on boot (y/n) [n]:
y
Fix permissions of Oracle ASM disks on boot (y/n) [y]:
y

Ensure that the new node can access the ASM disks.

In the terminal window, type the following and press <Enter>:
service oracleasm scandisks

Ensure that the ASM disks are available on the new node.
In the terminal window, type the following and press <Enter>:
service oracleasm listdisks
All available disks on the remaining nodes are listed.
