To configure the ASM disks:
1 Log in as root .
2 Open a terminal window and log in as root .
3 Copy the /dell-oracle-deployment/scripts/permissions.ini file from one of
the existing nodes to the same location on the new node.
4 Enter the following command to set the proper permissions for block devices:
/etc/rc.local

Open a terminal window and perform the following steps on the new node:
a Ty p e service oracleasm configure .
b Type the following inputs for all the nodes:
Default user to own the driver interface [ ]: oracle
Default group to own the driver interface [ ]: dba
Start Oracle ASM library driver on boot (y/n) [n]: y
Fix permissions of Oracle ASM disks on boot (y/n) [y]: y
c Ensure that the new node can access the ASM disks.
d In the terminal window, type the following and press <Enter>:
service oracleasm scandisks
6 Ensure that the ASM disks are available on the new node.
In the terminal window, type the following and press <Enter>:
service oracleasm listdisks
All available disks on the remaining nodes are listed.
