In the terminal window, type the following:
service oracleasm createdisk ASM1 /dev/sdb1
service oracleasm createdisk ASM2 /dev/sdc1

Repeat step 1 through step 3 for any additional ASM disks that you need
to create.

Verify that the ASM disks are created and marked for ASM usage.
In the terminal window, enter the following and press <Enter>:
service oracleasm listdisks
The disks you created in step 3 are listed in the terminal window.
For example:
ASM1
ASM2
Installing Oracle Database 11g
Perform the following steps to install Oracle 11g:

Log in as
root
.

As the user
root
, mount the
Oracle Database 11g
CD.

Start the X Window System by typing:
startx

Open a terminal window and type:
xhost +

Log in as
oracle
.

Start the Oracle Universal Installer.
In the terminal window, type the following and press <Enter>:
<CD_mountpoint>/runInstaller

In the
Select Installation Method
window, click
Advanced Installation
and then click
Next
.

Select Installation Type
window, click
Enterprise Edition
and
click
Next
