Repeat step 4 for any additional ASM disks that need to be created.

Verify that the ASM disks are created and marked for ASM usage.
In the terminal window, type the following and press <Enter>:
service oracleasm listdisks
The disks that you created in step 5 are displayed. For example:
ASM1
ASM2

Ensure that the remaining nodes are able to access the ASM disks that
you
created in step 5. On each remaining node, open a terminal window,
type the following, and press <Enter>:
service oracleasm scandisks

root

3 For Enterprise Linux 4:
Copy the
/etc/sysconfig/rawdevices
file from one of the existing nodes to
the same location on the new node.
NOTE: Verify that the LUNs are mapped consistently across all of your nodes.

Open a terminal window and perform the following steps on the new node:

service oracleasm configure

Enter the following inputs for all the nodes:
Default user to own the driver interface
[ ]

Default group to own the driver interface [ ]

Start Oracle ASM library driver on boot (y/n)
[n]

Fix permissions of Oracle ASM disks on boot (y/n) [y]
