SAS Cluster Setup for the Dell
PowerVault MD3000, MD32xx,
MD1000, and MD12xx Expansion
Enclosures

To configure the Dell PowerEdge systems and the PowerVault MD3000,
MD32xx, MD1000, and MD12xx storage enclosures to function in an
Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) environment:
1 Verify the hardware and software configurations as described in this section
by using
Figure 4-1, Ta b le 4-1, and Figure 4-2 for reference.
2 Follow the steps in ”Setting Up the SAS Cluster With PowerVault
MD3000 and MD1000 Expansion Enclosures” on page 23.
CAUTION: Before you upgrade the firmware on your PowerVault MD3000 storage
array, ensure that you backup your data.
