Type the following commands to start the Oracle Universal Installer:
unset ORACLE_HOME
<CD_mountpoint>
/runInstaller
The following message appears:
Was ’rootpre.sh’ been run by root? [y/n] (n)

In the
Welcome
window, click
Next
.

In the
Specify Home Details
window, change the Oracle home path to
/crs/oracle/product/10.2.0/crs
and click
Next
.

In the
Product-Specific Prerequisite Checks
window, ensure that
Succeeded
appears in the
Status
column for each system check, and then click
Next
.

In the
Specify Cluster Configuration
window, add the cluster nodes that will be managed by the
Oracle Clusterware.

Click
Add
.

Enter a name for the
Public Node Name
,
Private Node Name
, and
Virtual Host Name
, and then
click
OK
.
c
Repeat step a and step b for the remaining cluster nodes.
d
In the
Cluster Name
field, type a name for your cluster.
The default cluster name is
crs
.

Click
Next
.

In the
Specify Network Interface Usage
window, ensure that the public and private interface names
are correct.
To modify an interface, perform the following steps:
a
Select the interface name and click
Edit
.
b
In the
Edit private interconnect type
window in the
Interface Type
box, select the appropriate
interface type and then click
OK
.

Specify Network Interface Usage
window, ensure that the public and private interface
names are correct, and then click
Next

Specify Oracle Cluster Registry (OCR) Location
window, perform the following steps:

In the
OCR Configuration
box, select
External Redundancy
.
b
In the
Specify OCR Location
field, type:
/dev/raw/ocr.dbf
