Execute Configuration Scripts

to exit the Oracle Universal Installer.

Restart the
cssd
process. To do so, type the following and press <Enter>:
/etc/init.d/init.cssd start
Configuring the Listener

Log in as

to start the X Window System.

Open a terminal window and type:
xhost +

Log in as
oracle

netca
to start the Oracle Net Configuration Assistant.

Accept the default settings and click
Next
on all the screens to complete the listener configuration.
Creating the Seed Database
Creating the Seed Database Using ext3 File System
Perform the following steps to create a seed database with the DBCA:

Log in as
oracle

to start the Oracle DBCA.

window, click
Next
.

Operations

Create a Database
and click
Next

Database Templates
window, click
Custom Database
and click
Next
.

Database Identification
window, type the name of the database that you are creating in the
Global Database Name
and the
SID Prefix
fields, and click
Next
.

Management Options
window, click
Next
.

In the
Database Credentials
window, complete password selections and entries and click
Next
.

In the
Storage Options
window, select
File System
and click
Next
.

Database File Locations
window, click
