Cause The user decides to cancel the ash BIOS update, or an error occurs during the ash.

Thermal shutdown protection has been initiated
Severity Error
Cause This message is generated when a system is congured for thermal shutdown due to an error event. If a
temperature sensor reading exceeds the error threshold for which the system is congured, the operating
system shuts down and the system powers o. This event may also be initiated on certain systems when a
fan enclosure is removed from the system for an extended period of time.
