Introduction

The Dell Systems Management Software Support Matrix helps identify Dell OpenManage software and other Dell components supported

on Dell PowerEdge/PowerVault systems, browsers, and operating systems.

This guide is intended for system administrators and technicians. The guide provides information about the available Dell systems, the

operating systems supported by these systems, and the Dell OpenManage components that can be installed on these systems.

What is new in this release

This release adds support for the following:

• New operating systems:

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0

• SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12

• VMware ESXi 5.5 U2

• VMware ESXi 6.0

• Citrix XenServer 6.5*

• CMC 5.0

• Support for using single iDRAC firmware across Dell’s 12

and 13

generation PowerEdge servers

• OpenManage Essentials v2.0.1

• OpenManage PowerCenter v3.0

• OpenManage Mobile v1.2 for Android and OpenManage Mobile v1.0 for iOS

• iDRAC Service Module 2.1

• The Systems Management Tools and Documentation (SMTD) Media would provide guidance on the OpenManage Products/tools.

* — Citrix XenServer 6.5 is not supported on OpenManage Storage Server.

Structure of this guide

Dell OpenManage solutions and tools allow customers to quickly respond to problems by helping them to manage Dell servers effectively

and efficiently; in physical, virtual, local, and remote environments, operating in-band and out-of-band (agent-free).

This guide is organized on the basis of in-band and out-of-band management and monitoring.
