Introduction
The Dell Systems Management Software Support Matrix helps identify Dell OpenManage software and other Dell
components supported on Dell PowerEdge/PowerVault systems, browsers, and operating systems.
This guide is intended for system administrators and technicians. The guide provides information about the available
Dell systems, the operating systems supported by these systems, and the Dell OpenManage components that can be
installed on these systems.
What Is New In This Release
This release adds support for the following:
• Support for Windows Server 2012 Essentials.
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.9.
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4.
• CMC 4.4.
• iDRAC7 1.40.40.
• OpenManage PowerCenter 1.2.
• Updated the browser support for different versions of Safari on Mac OSX, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
• VMware ESXi 5.1 U1 Flash and HDD.
• VMware ESXi 5.0 U2 Flash and HDD.
• Citrix XenServer 6.2.
• The Systems Management Tools and Documentation (SMTD) Media would provide guidance on the
OpenManage Products/tools.
• We recommend to use Dell OpenManage Essentials as replacement for ITA. Dell OpenManage Essentials
provides improved capabilities such as:
– Discovering and inventoring the systems.
– Monitoring systems’ health.
– Viewing and managing system alerts.
– Performing system updates.
– Viewing hardware inventory and compliance reports.
