A disk is degraded and has received a SMART alert (predictive failure). The disk is likely to fail

in the near future.

Response Action

Replace the disk that has received the SMART alert. If the physical disk is a member of a non-

redundant virtual disk, then back up the data before replacing the disk. Removing a physical

disk that is included in a non-redundant virtual disk will cause the virtual disk to fail and may

cause data loss.
