Check that all the physical disks of the virtual disk are in a healthy condition. Replace any disks

that are not healthy and restart the operation. If this is not the problem, delete the virtual disk

and restore the data to the disk from a backup copy.

Response Action

Replace the failed physical disk. Identify the failed physical disk by locating the disk that has a

red "X" for its status. Rebuild the physical disk. When finished, restart the virtual disk format

operation.
