Overview
The Dell™ OpenManage™ installer supports both 32-bit and 64-bit
architecture. The following table explains the OS installation matrix for
OpenManage.
UP - Upgrade; U/UP - Uninstall and Upgrade; I - Install; NS - Not supported
NOTE: On an OpenManage upgrade, it is recommended that you upgrade to the
latest open source components available on the DVD.
NOTE: The srvadmin-cm RPM is a 32-bit RPM that is installed along
with the 64-bit OpenManage Server Administrator RPMs. This RPM
requires 32-bit version of zlib and compat-libstdc++ libraries. Ensure
that these libraries are installed on the system.
NOTE: If you are upgrading the OS to a major version (example, SLES 10
to SELS 11), you have to uninstall the existing version of OpenManage
and install the supported version.
NOTE: Before you migrate to a 64-bit OpenManage, you must uninstall
the following:
