RAC Firmware Versions
Dell™RemoteAccessController(DRAC)isasystemsmanagementhardwareandsoftwaresolutiondesignedtoprovideremotemanagementcapabilities,
crashed system recovery, and power control functions.
By communicating with the system's Baseboard Management Controller (BMC), the DRAC (when installed) can be configured to send e-mail alerts for warnings
or errors related to voltages, temperatures, intrusion, and fan speeds. DRAC also logs event data and the most recent crash screen (for systems running the
Microsoft Windows operating system only) to help diagnose the probable cause of a system crash.

Supported Dell Remote Access Controller versions and firmware, as well as supported BMC IPMI protocol versions, are listed in Table5-1. Table5-1 lists the
following DRAC types:

NOTE: M805, M905, T100, and PowerVault DL2000 are scheduled to be available in second half of 2008.
NOTE: The DRAC III occupies a PCI slot, and has a modem, a battery, and an external AC power connection unlike the other RACs.
