Installing Systems Management Software on
a Managed System
The setup program provides both a Typical Setup option and a Custom Setup
option. The Typical Setup option (recommended) automatically installs all of
the detected software components that are necessary to manage your
system. The Custom Setup option enables you to select which software
components you want to install. The procedure in this document is based
on the Typical Setup option. See the Dell OpenManage Installation and
Security User's Guide for information about Custom Setup.
