- Dell EMC OpenManage Server Administrator 9.4 Release Notes
Make sure to choose the proper disk following RAID-10 guidelines.
● JIT-151463 : On RHEL 7 and SLES 15 under Storage for the HBA330 controller, the Slots Occupancy Report does not
display the empty slots available that do not contain a disk drive.
● JIT-153490 : The Slot Occupancy Report displays as 12 slots instead of 8 slots on PowerEdge R7515 systems with 8 SAS or
SATA or 16 NVMe backplane configurations on a PERC controller.
● JIT-149079: Storage Management Component's versions running on Ubuntu operating system will be shown as 9.4.0
whereas for other systems running on Linux operating systems like RHEL or SLES version will be displayed as 6.4.0 in
software summary page of Server Administrator.
● JIT-143512: The EMM alert generation is delayed if there are failed drives present in the enclosure.
● JIT-154358: On Command Line Interface for Raid 10,50, and 60 virtual disk that is created with more than 78 physical disk,
fails on external RAID PERC H840 and PERC H830 controllers.
● JIT-155954: While hot-plug-in mulitple drives of MX5016s physically, wait for each insert alert to avoid the wrong
enumeration.
Work around: Restart the Data manager service to get the updated enumeration.
● JIT-156411: On PowerEdge R7525 when multiple NVMe drives hot plugged while PTR is in progress, observing wrong
enumeration of NVMe drives on OMSA page. This is observing only when Toshiba drive is part of either hot plug operation or
PTR (Prepare to remove).
Installation Prerequisites
Storage Management does not display controllers and their features on systems that do not meet the driver and firmware
requirements. At Storage Management runtime, you can determine whether the system meets the firmware requirement or
not, by checking the application log files for notifications on outdated firmware. At runtime, On SCSI controllers, Storage
Management displays the firmware version at runtime while on SAS controllers it displays the firmware and driver versions.
