Release Notes

JIT-72304 : Able to assign lesser capacity physical disk as a DHS to the virtual disk created with physical disk having higher capacity.
JIT-80079: If Prepare to remove operation is executed on a Non-RAID PCIe-SSD physical disk, the bus protocol for the virtual disk
associated with that physical disk, changes to SATA from PCIe-SSD.
JIT-80085 : The alert descriptions, in the online help, for Set Available Spare Warning Threshold and Set Available Spare Critical
Threshold show The Available Spare Warning Threshold for PCIe SSDs is set to %1 and The Available Spare Critical Threshold for
PCIe SSDs is set to %1 respectively, instead of The Available Spare Warning Threshold for PCIe SSDs is set to <value> and The
Available Spare Critical Threshold for PCIe SSDs is set to <value>.
JIT-92922: In Storage Management, the load balance should always be selected as “Auto” in Change Controller Properties page for
PERC H840 Adapter. The ‘Disabled’ option is not supported for PERC H840 Adapter.
JIT-94939:In Storage Management, assigning more than six physical drives as dedicated hot spare is not supported in a SWRAID
controller while creating virtual disk.
JIT-94934: In Storage Management, the physical disks with the same slot number but with dierent enclosure IDs are not getting
enumerated for dedicated hot spare assignment while creating virtual disk.
Storage Management carries SHA1 signed library ( storelibIR) in the current release.
JIT-96322: On PERC 10 controllers with more than 200 virtual disks created(Max supported virtual disks are 240), some virtual disk
tasks fails to execute on OM CLI.
Workaround: Use the GUI to complete the Virtual disk tasks.
JIT-97576: On systems running Vmware ESXi operating systems for BOSS controller, an alert is displayed as rebuild completed which
requires service restart to log the alerts.
Installation Prerequisites
Storage Management does not display controllers and their features on systems that do not meet the driver and rmware requirements. At
Storage Management runtime, you can determine whether the system meets the rmware requirement or not, by checking the application
log les for notications on outdated rmware. At runtime, On SCSI controllers, Storage Management displays the rmware version at
runtime while on SAS controllers it displays the rmware and driver versions.
Installation Procedure
For complete installation instructions, see the Dell EMC OpenManage Server Administrator version Installation Guide.
This section provides information to enhance your experience with Server Administrator implementations and environments.

mode must be enabled.
Port 1311 is the default port for Server Administrator. It is a registered port number of Server Administrator. If another application is
congured to run on port 1311 before Server Administrator is installed, the DSM SA Connection Service does not start after installation.
Before you install Server Administrator, make sure that the port 1311 is not in use.
Before starting Server Administrator, you must enable the client-side scripting in Internet Explorer.
To do so, perform the following:
a In Internet Explorer, navigate to the Tools menu.
b Click Internet Options.
c Click the Security tab.
