Hardware Requirements
Minimum of 2 GB RAM
Minimum of 512 MB free hard drive space
Administrator rights
Monitor with a minimum screen resolution of 800 x 600. The recommended screen resolution is at least 1024 x 768
Software Requirements
Supported operating system and web browser.
TCP/IP connection on the managed system and the remote system to facilitate remote system management.
Supported systems management protocol standard. For more information, see Supported Systems Management Protocol
Standards.
The Server Administrator Remote Access Controller service requires remote access controller (RAC) to be installed on the
managed system. For more information on the software and hardware requirements, see the relevant Remote Access Controller
User’s Guide.
NOTE: The RAC software is installed as part of the Typical Setup installation option provided the managed system
meets all of the RAC installation prerequisites.
The Server Administrator Storage Management Service requires Server Administrator to be installed on the managed system.

Guide.
Microsoft Software Installer (MSI) version 3.1 or later.
NOTE: Server Administrator software detects the MSI version on your system. If the version is earlier than 3.1, the
prerequisite checker prompts you to upgrade to MSI version 3.1. After upgrading the MSI to version 3.1, you may have to
reboot the system to install other software applications such as Microsoft SQL Server.
