A field replaceable unit (FRU) is a part that can be removed and replaced without having to send the system to a repair facility. The Field
Replaceable Unit Group provides information about the field replaceable units that may be present in your system.
Field Replaceable Unit Group Tables
The objects in the FRU group define information such as manufacturer, serial number, part number and revision for field replaceable units.
